HEAR Orientation 2020

Students who secure college places through HEAR are offered a variety of academic, personal and social supports while studying at third level. Such supports can include an Orientation programme (before courses start), academic guidance and assistance, a bursary when available, and advice regarding grants and scholarships.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, orientation programmes and in-person supports may vary on an institution by institution basis. To find out more about those supports you can contact these institutions through the contact details on this link.

COVID-19 Update

At this time, all DARE and HEAR related dates listed on cao.ie, accesscollege.ie and in promotional materials remain unchanged by the recent announcement on the use of Calculated Grades for the Leaving Certificate. These dates will remain unchanged until further notice.

All participating DARE and HEAR colleges will reduce points and make offers for courses in exactly the same way once an applicant has matriculated for required subjects etc and fulfilled other requirements for DARE HEAR eligibility.
