HEAR Applications 2019-20

The 2020 CAO On-line Application Facility is now open.

Online applications to both DARE and HEAR can be made on www.cao.ie until 17:15 on 1 March.

HEAR Orientation 2020

Students who secure college places through HEAR are offered a variety of academic, personal and social supports while studying at third level. Such supports include an Orientation programme (before courses start), academic guidance and assistance, a bursary when available, and advice regarding grants and scholarships.

2020 DARE & HEAR Application Information Day

Date: Saturday 11 January 2020

DARE-HEAR organises an Application Information Day each year. The Application Information Day provides an opportunity for you and/ or your parent(s)/ guardian(s) to drop in to meet with a member of the HEAR team to discuss your application. Drop in anytime between 10am and 2pm for information on the HEAR and DARE Schemes:

Talk to DARE and HEAR advisors about your application.
Information videos will be shown hourly throughout the morning.
Applicants, parents, guardians, teachers, guidance counsellors all welcome.

Prioritisation of Reduced Points Places

Colleges participating in DARE and HEAR have agreed to prioritise applicants eligible for DARE and HEAR when allocating reduced points places. This is in order to increase the numbers of students who have a disability and are from a disadvantaged background progressing to higher education.
